Person-centred care in a brand-new, beautifully designed home
Choosing a care home can feel overwhelming. At Trafford Waters, our team is here to listen, answer your questions, talk through care options and help you understand the next step — from your first enquiry to settling in.
Trafford Waters provides residential, dementia, respite, day and palliative care in a purpose-built home on the Manchester Ship Canal, close to Salford, Stretford and the Trafford Centre.
Ellie Wibberley leads the team at Trafford Waters. She joined Tanglewood as a care assistant in 2018 and brings eight years of person-centred care experience to every resident, family and colleague at the home.
Our blue-velvet cinema hosts movie afternoons with popcorn and good company — one of the thoughtful touches that helps Trafford Waters feel more like a home.
Residents are supported to enjoy meaningful days, from social activities and creative sessions to games, gentle exercise, gardening, wellbeing sessions and one-to-one moments.
Ensuite wet-room bedrooms, welcoming dining spaces, a salon, garden room and beautiful waterside terrace help create a calm, comfortable home where residents and families can feel at ease.
Every family's situation is different. You may be planning ahead, responding to a hospital discharge, exploring dementia care, or simply wondering whether now is the right time. When you speak to our team, we will take the time to understand what is happening, answer your questions clearly and help you feel more confident about the next step.
Share what is happening, what support your loved one may need, and any worries or questions you have. You do not need to have everything worked out before speaking to us.
You can speak to a real person who will take the time to listen and answer your questions clearly. We can talk about facilities, care options, daily life at the home, visiting, availability, fees, funding and what happens next.
We can explain the different types of care available, including residential care, dementia care, respite care, day care and palliative care, and help you understand what may be most suitable for your situation.
Arrange a private tour, meet the team and see the bedrooms, lounges, dining spaces, gardens and facilities. It is a chance to get a feel for the home and ask questions in person.
